Marketing Visuals

The Challenge: Turning product features into illustrated marketing visuals.
The Solution: Identify key product elements, and illustrate and tell the story of new feature launches.
The Impact: Clear product feature launch visuals that can be on product pages and marketing assets.

Most of my work here is focused on product pages, and feature launches. The design work is centered on desktop web pages, and focused on communicating specific keystroke interactions. Occasionally, more illustrative projects come up, like the Trello Caretakers Illustrations below.

I’m using abstraction as a tool to capture the recognizable elements of a product and use them to tell a story.
These email and newsletter assets can be more abstract than some of the feature highlight visuals.
As you scroll, you’ll see how these graphics become more complex as the target audience gets more granular.

A high level of abstraction is also useful on digital display banners. The limited space requires clear and concise visuals.

These marketing pages target developers and tech leads with use cases specific to their day to day struggles. As users are diving deeper down product pages, searching for information, product visuals need to be doing some heavy lifting. The use of text, layering, and hints of product truth helps adds more depth and context to these illustrations.

This product and brand knowledge culminates in a bi-annual Atlassian Team event. Industry leaders gather around the globe learn and educate others about the latest collaboration tools Atlassian offers. Brand consistency and compliance is tantamount in these presentations. Clear and up-to-date product features are brought to life through the narrative of Mike’s presentation.
